iOS Device Repair
Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t fix iPods, iPhones or iPads any more. Several years ago — during the iPod era — they decided it would be easier to just replace each unit instead of fixing them. We agree… it is easier, but that’s definitely not the best option for most devices. We’ve determined what repairs are worthwhile based on feasibility and device value. We’ll never convince you to fix something that isn’t economically worth it. Is it worth it sentimentally? That’s up to you. We’ll fix anything that comes through the door, but we’ll be upfront with the costs.
iPad Repair
Apple won’t actually fix your iPad… they’ll charge you about half of the original purchase price to swap your damaged iPad for a refurbished unit. Yuck. Let us replace the glass, fix the aluminum and get it back up and running after a drop.
iPhone Repair
Replacing a device is expensive and bad for the environment. If you have a damaged iPhone, we can fix it cheaper than Apple. Batteries, broken glass, damage LCDs — no matter what the problem is, we beat Apple’s $199 swap price every time.
iPod touch Repair
We’re no longer advertising iPod touch 1st Generation repair due to its age, value and difficulty. Another note: the iPod touch 4th Generation glass is glued to the LCD… so there’s no chance of fixing them separately.
iPod classic Repair
Hard drives are going the way of the dodo, but that doesn’t mean the iPod classic is headed that direction. The classic is near and dear to our hearts: it was many of our technicians’ first iPods and still retains the same simple look. We’ll fix anything from the iPod 4th Generation (before they started calling it the “classic”) on up.
iPod nano Repair
These tiny devices are the hardest repairs to keep cost effective. Due to the nature of the design, they cost very little compared to other iPods. Apple considers them “replaceable” but we try very hard to keep them worth fixing. However, we’re only stocking one repair right now. The 6th generation nano display assembly is relatively simple to fix without complications. It requires a heat gun, a little hard work and a steady hand.
Other iPod Repair
Do we work on other iPods? We sure do. We’ll work on nearly any generation of iPod. Be warned: we’ll let you know if it’s not worth fixing. Just call us and ask. If you’d like to compare our prices with Apple’s Out of Warranty swap options, here you go:
